About
About Wild Matriarch

We are a woman-owned boutique consultancy operating in the trust and confidence business.
Established in 2019, Wild Matriarch brings deep practical experience in environments where social license, regulatory confidence, and organizational performance directly affect project viability and long-term success. Our work bridges the space between technical excellence and societal expectation, translating risk, uncertainty, and complexity into strategies and actions that stand up under scrutiny.
INDIGENOUS INCLUSION IN OUR WORK
Wild Matriarch works to ensure Indigenous inclusion in the work we do.
We collaborate with Indigenous professionals who guide the path towards Reconciliation and we respect the advice and guidance of the Indigenous community in materials, communication, and imagery being produced and distributed.

DIVERSITY INCLUSION IN OUR WORK
Wild Matriarch puts thought and purpose into bringing diverse perspectives to our work.
We choose to work alongside collaborators and clients who are also walking a committed path toward Reconciliation and inclusion of traditionally under-represented groups.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE NAME WILD MATRIARCH
Reflections from our founder
Choosing a company name was a deliberate and thoughtful process. It needed to be meaningful, to serve as a north star, and to reflect the values and standards I wanted the firm to uphold. I wanted a name that would continue to guide me in the work, challenge me to live up to it, and signal something substantive to collaborators and clients about how we operate and what we stand for.
WILD comes from ideas in the book by Brené Brown, Braving the Wilderness: The Quest for True Belonging and the Courage to Stand Alone. Some quotes from the book that inspired "WILD" are:
“The mark of a wild heart is living out the paradox of love in our lives. It’s the ability to be tough and tender, excited and scared, brave and afraid—all in the same moment. It’s showing up in our vulnerability and our courage, being both fierce and kind.”; and
“We are complex beings who wake up every day and fight against being labeled and diminished with stereotypes and characterizations that don’t reflect our fullness. Yet when we don’t risk standing on our own and speaking out, when the options laid before us force us into the very categories we resist, we perpetuate our own disconnection and loneliness. When we are willing to risk venturing into the wilderness, and even becoming our own wilderness, we feel the deepest connection to our true self and to what matters the most.”; and
“There will be times when standing alone feels too hard, too scary, and we’ll doubt our ability to make our way through the uncertainty. Someone, somewhere, will say, “Don’t do it. You don’t have what it takes to survive the wilderness.” This is when you reach deep into your wild heart and remind yourself, “I am the wilderness.” "
MATRIARCH comes from spending a quarter of a century in a traditional corporate environment in a male-dominated industry, I wanted the company I founded to embrace different approaches to organization. I have long been an advocate for advancing women in leadership and had an interest in matriarchal societies and concepts of the sacred feminine. Matriarchal leadership concepts emphasize service, deep listening, inclusion, developing self-awareness, uplifting others, collaboration and an abundance mentality. I embrace the wisdom I have gained as a woman and as a mother. I am intentional in how I continue to develop my own leadership. I strive to uplift others.
